WATCH: Aretha Franklin has President Obama in tears with her powerful performance

Washington D.C. – When singer-songwriter, Carole King, saw Aretha Franklin walk onto stage she immediately knew what was coming.

King, who co-wrote the hit song (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman sung by Franklin, was being honoured at the 38th Annual Kennedy Center Honours in Washington D.C. earlier this month.

Almost 50 years after the song’s release the 73-year-old Franklin’s performance was still as powerful as ever before.

In fact it was so touching that it had President Barack Obama wiping away his tears.
