Billie Lourd on grieving Carrie and Debbie: It’s impossible to deal with

Cape Town – It’s been nine months since her mother and grandmother died just one day apart, but Billy Lourd says it’s still just impossible to deal with.

In her first ever interview in The Ellen Show, the up and coming actress opened up about coping with the deaths of Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds.

“It’s completely surreal, I mean, there’s really just no way to explain it, it’s so hard to talk about,” Lourd said, adding that if she says she is fine people think she is “too happy” and if she says she is not fine it’s the opposite.

When chatting about acting with her mom in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Billie says it was incredible and that she believes it all happened for a reason.

“I’m a big believer in things happening for a reason and I think I ended up in that movie for a reason. And it was really incredible for us to get to have that experience together.”
