Khloe Kardashian files for divorce from Lamar Odom again

Los Angeles - Khloe Kardashian has filed for divorce to end her marriage to Lamar Odom.

The 31-year-old beauty, who married the former NBA star in 2009, has filed for divorce for a second time after originally doing so in December 2013, only for the papers not to be processed.

Khloe has cited irreconcilable differences for the reason behind their split and has even drafted in Laura Wasser, who is currently representing Johnny Depp in his divorce, to help deal with her case.

The curvaceous TV star and the retired sportsman do not have a pre-nup and they have already reached an agreement about their properties, meaning they must now wait six months for the divorce to be legally finalised in the state of California.

The news comes shortly after Khloe insisted she does not believe in divorce, but feels confident that she kept her vows to Lamar, who cheated on her with multiple women.

Khloe put the divorce on hold last year to care for Lamar after he collapsed at a brothel in Nevada following an alcohol and drugs binge.

But she said: "It was a challenge for me when I decided to get divorced. At my core, I don't believe in divorce, but I came to a point in my marriage where I had to make the choice to take care of my own mental and emotional well-being in order to protect myself and my happiness.

"I am at peace with that decision and do feel like I honoured my vows to the very end."

Khloe said she kept her vows and is happy that she was able to care for Lamar while he was ill.

She shared: "I feel that I kept the serious vows I made in front of God with every inch of my heart, which is why I am still honouring them today even though my relationship with my ex-husband is in a different place.

"I believe in caring for my partner - past or present - 'in sickness and in health,' and feel at peace with my relationship with God even after the fact. I'm thankful that I can rely on my God, who, along with my family, has led me through some of the most difficult times of my life."
