Favourite day-to-night outfit?
"I’m a very casual guy, so jeans and a white T-shirt. Throw on a chic jacket to make it smart casual and you’re good to go."
Wardrobe must-haves?
"Actually, a man or woman with confidence can look great wearing a black plastic bag."
Most treasured fashion item?
"I’m a proud Xhosa man, so I try to wear my Xhosa beads with everything."
Biggest fashion no-no?
"Black suits with brown shoes. Why? And men who wear black suits with black ties and black shoes – I don’t get that."
Who’s your fashion icon and why?
Maps Maponyane. He’s the most stylish man in SA. If I had a quarter of his style, I’d be alright.
