Cape Town - British inventor Richard Browning is a real-life Iron Man

The 39-year-old former oil trader on Friday showed off his latest invention, a jetsuit, during a demonstration in London.

The suit was built using 3D printed parts, specialist electronics and five jet engines. According to Insider the suit, which costs a cool R6m to own, can reach speeds of up to 51km/h and a height of up to 3650m.

Browning comes from a long line of flying elite. According to CNN he is the son of a maverick inventor and aeronautical engineer. His paternal grandfather was an airline pilot and wartime fighter pilot. His maternal grandfather ran a British helicopter manufacturer.
