Cape Town - Channel24 caught up with WWE wrestler Jason Jordan ahead of the WWE LIVE South Africa tour in April.
Big Concerts last week announced that the WWE LIVE South Africa tour will be adding a second show to the Cape Town leg of the tour due to popular demand.
Fans attending the show will be able to see their favourite WWE Superstars including Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman
Speaking about what first drew him to wrestling Jason (real name Nathan Everhart) says he has been watching WWE for as long as he could remember.
He says: "Wrestling was something I would watch with my brothers. I can't remember exactly what it was that initially drew me to it, but the athleticism, the showmanship and the characters were definitely something that caught my eye."
Jason has a bit of a smug, and "braggy" attitude in the ring, but that is not at all what Nathan is like in real life. He explains that when he first signed to the main roster he was playing less of a character, but as his storyline progressed, his persona has moved further and further away from his own personality.
"Even though you're playing a character you still need to have some sort of personal or emotional attachment," he adds.
An average week for a WWE wrestler is five days on the road, with only two days off in-between. He says: "For RAW we'll fly out on a Friday morning. When we arrive in the town, we hit the gym and get something the eat, before heading to the arena. We start the whole process again, for the next two days.
"After three days of live events, we have RAW which will be in the last town. We have RAW on Monday and then fly back on Tuesday. And an international trip can last anything from 7 - 18 days," he says.
But in his spare time, the buff wrestler loves to binge-watch series (just like us mere mortals), and just finished catching up on Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.
"I'm excited to watch Ozark, but I'm open to suggestions," he laughs.
Jason will be visiting South Africa for the first time in April, and calls the opportunity an "extremely incredible experience." He is especially excited to experience the culture and the architecture.
He encourages all families to come out and support the tour, saying: "No one will be disappointing and everyone will have a really great time. You'll see some astounding feats of athleticism, shockers and amazing things."
