Lance Wittens' tweet was heartless and crass

Lance Witten
I believe regardless of whether it was in his business or private capacity, it was heartless and crass.

He did it on a public social media platform, so that cannot be covered by "his own free time". The fact that he is publicly seen (and advertised) as being an anchor for eNCA unfortunately splashes his bad judgement over eNCA as well by association.

It must have been deeply hurtful to the family, friends and any member of the public who has a soul and any empathy for the deceased to have seen such an ill-conceived statement from someone in the public media.

Lance Witten should do some time in an Emergency Medical Services environment to see first-hand how trauma affects the casualties, their friends/family and the care givers.

Maybe then he would think before commenting in public about something that is never a joke. The fact that he felt he could justify his comment with the lame excuse he supplied just lowers his credibility further.

I certainly would not look at him again on any eNCA broadcast without remembering his thoughtless tweet - and switch channels.
