Position: Group Head / Senior Copywriter
Studied: BA Journalism & Political Science (Rhodes), Copywriting Diploma (AAA School of Advertising)

Do you want to be in advertising? Glamorous parties, exciting shoots, sex, drugs and jingles right? Absolutely – about 3% of the time.

The rest is brainstorming, drinking coffee, writing, scamping, talking shit, talking about the merits of Helvetica, looking for information to assist with brainstorming, drinking more coffee, comparing cellphones, wondering if it really takes a whole week to make one jelly bean, searching for your special mug, waiting for Godot (he exists, usually works in the garden).

And then it's bar time. Yes, any agency worth its tequila and salt has an agency bar. Ostensibly for entertaining suppliers and clients, it's also a place to reconnect and recharge after another week of saving the world of consumerism.

But enough about my week. You want to be in advertising when you grow up? Well, here's the brief (the only clear and concise brief you'll probably ever see so pay attention).
