Justin Bieber bloodied up in boxing ring

18-year-old Justin Bieber can take a punch, even if it's fake.

The young pop star recently posed for photographer Tony Kelly in a boxing themed photo shoot for Complex magazine's 10th anniversary cover, reports The Daily Mail.

The shoot, filmed at LA Sands Boxing Club, sees Bieber covered in blood and bruises as he tackles not one, but two boxers in the ring. At one point he wields a glass bottle to defend himself against a burly opponent.

The only one on his side is a pretty girl in a gold swimsuit helping him recover after a particularly nasty round.

Growing pains

The magazine has titled the shoot "Justin Bieber: Growing Pains" and has referred to him as "the young king" on their website.

He is also described as carefree and natural in the interview, but he knows what he needs to do to stay in the game.

"People just need to take a chance and listen. That's going to be the biggest problem, to make them feel like it's cool to like my music," Bieber told Complex magazine.

In the behind-the-scenes video, the orange tinge of the fake blood on Bieber's tuxedo shirt will put all his fans at ease. No part of Bieber was harmed during this shoot.
