Chris Brown, Drake 'have no problems'

New York - Drake's friend Meek Mill insists there are no lasting problems between the rapper and Chris Brown.

The pair were caught up in a fight at New York club WIP on Wednesday but Meek Mill - who was initially accused of being involved in the row between the stars' entourages - spoke to the Yeah 3x hitmaker afterwards and was reassured all was fine.

Meek - who attended the club with Drake - told XXL: "I talked to Chris immediately after that, on the phone afterwards, like immediately. There's nothing there, this-that-and-the-third. Chris Brown be in clubs. He be around situations like this.

"Things get out of hand. That don't mean it's out of hand with me and him or whoever, not even him and Drake.(sic)"

A 24-year-old Australian tourist has claimed she was injured when a bottle was thrown during the melee, but Meek insists neither he, Drake nor Chris were directly involved in any aggression.

'To the next level'

Asked if he threw a bottle, he said: "Fuck no".

He added: "Chris and Drake, them two was there, but it's other people that be around that take shit to the next level.

"Things just happened in the club. I seen girls in there throwing bottles, all types of shit. All types of people. I never seen Chris Brown or Drake throw a bottle, and I was there.(sic)"

Chris has been at war with Drake over his alliance with Rihanna, who split up with the Beautiful People hitmaker after he was convicted of assaulting her three years ago.

Unconfirmed reports revealed he sent a bottle of champagne to Drake's table as a peace offering but it was returned with a note reading, "I'm fucking the love of your life, deal with it."

The gesture is then thought to have angered Chris and resulted in him confronting Drake, who allegedly threw a punch at his rival, leading to a brawl breaking out.

No arrests have so far been made in connection with the incident.
