Disgraced designer John Galliano silently returns to catwalk

London — Designer John Galliano, who left fashion in disgrace in 2011 after making anti-Semitic comments in a Paris bar, has returned with a debut show for fashion house Maison Martin Margiela.

Galliano, who took the creative helm for the Paris label last autumn, showed a small couture collection to a carefully selected audience of about 100 in London on Monday.

He was dismissed from Christian Dior and left his namesake label, and was convicted by a French court on complaints of anti-Semitic behavior.
