Los Angeles - Nick Gordon is "completely innocent" of harming Bobbi Kristina Brown, a relative has claimed.
The family source has insisted that Nick has been a "scapegoat" ever since the 22-year-old aspiring actress was found face down and unresponsive in a bath tub on 31 January.
They said: "He feels - and we all feel - like Nick has been a scapegoat in this case.
"It's scary for him, because he hasn't done anything wrong. He is completely innocent."
The relative also told PEOPLE magazine that Nick has been following the news about the star from Florida.
Meanwhile, Nick has had a $10m lawsuit filed against him after he was accused of knocking out Bobbi Kristina's teeth.
A statement from conservator Bedelia Hargrove read: "Today I filed a lawsuit on behalf of Bobbi Kristina Brown. I filed this lawsuit to pursue justice on behalf of Bobbi Kristina Brown. No human being, male or female, should endure what Bobbi Kristina endured.
"Pat Houston [her aunt] and Bobby Brown have done all they can to take care of Bobbi Kristina since this terrible tragedy occurred. I have worked closely with both of them and we all want the very best for Bobbi Kristina.
"This lawsuit represents our collective efforts to get justice for Bobbi Kristina. We pray that justice will be done for her and that it will be swift."
