Los Angeles - BangShowBiz on Wednesday reported that Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey were heading for splitsville.
Nick is said to be "living out of hotels" as a source revealed that the actor and his singer wife have been "fighting a lot".
Now it seems like the reason behind the couple's decision to end their marriage might have something to do with Kim Kardashian.
Mail Online reported that things started going wrong after Nick did an interview with Power 106.FM.
The America's Got Talent host got candid during the interview about his sexual escapades with five celebrity women that he had dated in the past which include reality TV star Kim Kardashian.
Nick and Kim dated for a brief period in 2006.
Mariah was apparently left humiliated by her husband's revelations and felt very disrespected by the fact that Nick would talk about having been intimate with other woman other than his wife.
During an interview with Huffington Post Live in April Nick opened up about what Mariah thought of his shocking radio confession. He said: "Mariah said to me, 'Oh yeah, by the way could you keep your whorish past to yourself if you're doing any interviews?' I was like, 'Got you.'"
Nick - who has twins Moroccan and Monroe, two, with Mariah - admits being "brutally honest" does get him into trouble, but defended his decision to discuss his sex list by insisting his dating history is already public knowledge and he was in a loving relationship with all the celebrities he named.
According to Mail Online the couple have been separated for nearly 3 months and only spend time together for the sake of the kids.
