JP Duminy says 'I do'

Cape Town – SA cricketer JP Duminy and long-time girlfriend Sue Erasmus were wed on Saturday.

Duminy and Erasmus have been dating for two years and have been living together for the past year in Duminy's "dream house", Huisgenoot reported.

The happy couple could not contain their excitement leading up to their big day – sharing their joy on social networking site Twitter.

On the big day Erasmus tweeted "On my way to the chapel to get married. Best day of my life."

Duminy tweeted his rugby player friend Bryan Habana saying how being a married man is a very "special feeling".

"I am now part of an elite group".

Beautiful ceremony

According to one of the guests the ceremony was beautiful and intimate.

"The bride looked absolutely beautiful and the groom also looked handsome in a classic black suit."

The reception was held at the luxurious Val de Vie estate near Paarl.

Duminy proclaimed his wedding vows in English while Erasmus completed hers in Afrikaans.

Later in the evening Duminy switched over to Afrikaans during his speech in order to thank his new in-laws.

Instead of having guests write their names in a guest book, the couple asked guests to paint their names on a canvas.

Various other cricket stars were present at the wedding, among them Francois du Plessis, Morné Morkel, Mark Boucher, Robin Peterson as well as Graeme Smith.
