Johannesburg - Julius Malema joined fans and celebs in bidding farewell to Miss SA Bokang Motjane as she jets off to Brazil for the Miss Universe pageant.
Sports and Recreation Minister Fikile Mbalula also attended the lavish send-off which took place at the Sun International in Sandton on Wednesday.
25-year-old Motjane will represent South Africa at the pageant which takes place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on September 12.
Guests at the farewell party had the opportunity to preview Motjane's traditional and evening gowns, designed by Gert-Johan Coetzee, which she will wear for the pageant.
Motjane told DStv.com: "Every crown has a name and if it's meant to be mine then it'll be mine."
