Bieber gets legal letter from paparazzo

Los Angeles - Justin Bieber has been handed a legal letter over a memory card taken from a photographer.

Gustavo Garces was taking pictures of the 19-year-old pop superstar on 5 June when he was spotted by the singer who ordered his security team to take away his camera.

In an audio recording of the ensuing incident, Justin can be heard telling Gustavo: "I'm gonna give you your camera back. I'm gonna take your SIM card (sic) though."

'Dire consequences'

Gustavo has now hired a lawyer who has served a "demand for return of camera memory card and preservation of evidence" to Justin's manager, Scooter Braun.

The letter, from lawyer Lee P Marks states: "I respectfully demand the immediate return of the camera memory card which was removed by Mr Bieber from a camera belonging to Mr Garces.

"Please be further advised I intend to pursue a claim against your client, Justin Bieber, as a result of his wrongful conduct on June 5, 2013."

The letter then explains the memory card is evidence in the forthcoming case and warns: "There are dire consequences for the spoilation of evidence under Florida law, so please advise your client, Justin Bieber, accordingly."
