Mayweather, 38, first became friends with the 21-year-old star because his 14-year-old daughter Iyanna is a huge fan of the heartthrob.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "As long as his daughter wants Justin there he'll be his main man. They get on really well."

Justin has been at Mayweather's side for a number of fights and public appearances and even made a surprise appearance at Iyanna's birthday party last year.

The Where Are U Now singer is also reported to have invited his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez - who recently split from the DJ Zedd - to accompany him to the fight.

However, he's since said to have asked his pals Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin to come along too.

A source told HollywoodLife.com: "Selena would have gone with Justin, but not with him, Kendall and Hailey. There's no way on earth that would happen."

Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx - who recently rubbished claims he's been dating the actress Katie Holmes - is set to sing the US national anthem before Mayweather's highly anticipated fight against the Filipino world champion.
