Kurt Darren becomes a dad

Cape Town – Afrikaans singer Kurt Darren has become a dad for the first time!

His wife, Dunay, gave birth to a baby girl on Monday and the singer shared the happy news on Twitter: "My wife is so brave, she’s the most beautiful mom! Baby girl born 12:26, 3.34kg. Thanks for everyone’s prayers and love, Daddy!!"

Earlier on Monday Kurt shared a photo of suitcases with the caption, "Ready for action…"

Kurt, who is known for hits such as Meisie Meisie and Kaptein, married Dunay in 2011.
