Johannesburg – Afrikaans singer Kurt Darren is reportedly doing well even though his injuries are far more serious than doctors first thought, reports Eyewitness News.
According to the Loslappie singer’s brother Darren van Heerden, Kurt has broken 11 ribs and not eight as initially thought.
"He's in extreme pain and will need some time to recover," Van Heerden said.
Doctors at the Netcare Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg are satisfied by his progress after Kurt started walking again for the first time on Thursday.
Darren was airlifted to hospital early on Sunday morning after he was involved in a serious car crash on his way home from watching a rugby match.
