Lindsay Lohan rejects Charlie Sheen's help

Los Angeles - Lindsay Lohan doesn't want Charlie Sheen's help.

The troubled actress is grateful for the support she has received from her Scary Movie 5 co-star - including giving her $100 000 to help pay an outstanding tax bill - but has rejected his recent offer to be her mentor.

One source told website TMZ that Lindsay acknowledges her life is "out of control" but doesn't accept Charlie's notion that he can help her get back on track because of his own public meltdown in 2011 which involved drug-fuelled arrests, wild partying and ultimately him being fired from Two and a Half Men.

Regain stability

The Liz & Dick star still speaks to Charlie from time to time, but is unhappy that he keeps speaking publicly about her.

According to the website, Lindsay has been meeting with a therapist and believes consistent sessions will help her regain stability in her life.

The Anger Management actor - who will appear alongside Lindsay in a future episode of the show after she landed a guest role - recently expressed his belief he would be a good mentor for the 26-year-old actress because he has battled similar problems with addiction and legal issues in the past.

The 47-year-old star said: "I have a kinship with somebody [Lindsay] who clearly needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not. She can continue to hang out with her dress shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey.

"If she listens, she'll win. If she doesn't, that's on her."
