Cape Town - Alison Pill, who plays Maggie Jordan in the hit HBO drama The Newsroom, has accidentally tweeted a nude photo of herself.
The incriminating photo was then quickly deleted followed by an apology from the 26-year-old Canadian actress.
Alison, who is also known for her roles in Scott Pilgrim vs The World and Midnight in Paris, had about 13 500 Twitter followers at the time she posted the nude shot, but that figure has now jumped to nearly 19 000.
Alison is engaged to fellow Canadian actor Jay Baruchel – best known for his roles in Knocked Up and She's Out of My League.
He followed up Alison's apologetic tweet with his own response: "My fiancee is an hilarious dork. #imustgladitdidnthappentomefirst (sic)"
