London - Peaches Geldof, the model and television presenter who was concert organiser Bob Geldof's daughter, has died at age 25.

Bob Geldof said in a statement on Monday: "Peaches has died. We are beyond pain."

"She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us," he said. "Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?"

Peaches was active in the fashion world, a frequent attendee at fashion shows who was photographed just last week at a show in London.

She was twice married and leaves behind two sons. Her second husband is musician Tom Cohen.

"My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons Astala and Phaedra, and I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts every day. We shall love her forever," Cohen said in a statement.

Peaches was a young girl when her mother Paula Yates died of a drug overdose in 2000.

The last tweet Peaches sent on Twitter was on Sunday, when she posted a photograph of herself as a child and her mother, with the caption: "Me and my mum". publishes all comments posted on articles provided that they adhere to our Comments Policy.
