Johannesburg - Miss World 2014, Rolene Strauss, returned home on Saturday morning after she was crowned at the pageant's final in London on Sunday.
The local beauty was welcomed at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg by hundreds of fans waiting to get a glimpse of her.
Rolene is the first Miss World to come out of South Africa since 1974, and the very first in the democratic dispensation.
