Tom Cruise will see Suri 'very soon'

Los Angeles - Tom Cruise will see his daughter Suri "very soon".

The 50-year-old actor hasn't seen his six-year-old child since estranged wife Katie Holmes filed for divorce last month but he plans to be reunited with the youngster as soon as possible.

Tom's lawyer, Bert Fields, told website RadarOnline.com: "Tom will be seeing Suri very soon, I don't know exactly when that will be, and I couldn't tell you, but I do know it will be very soon.

"Tom loves Suri very, very much, as he does his other two children. Tom is a family man, and dedicated to his children. They are the centre of his world."

Tom - who also has adopted kids, Isabella, 19, and 17-year-old Connor, with second wife Nicole Kidman - is currently in California shooting new movie Oblivion, while Katie and Suri are in New York.

Substantial visitation rights

Earlier this week, the former couple - who married in November 2006 - settled on a divorce settlement, but Tom's lawyers admit he's still devastated about the break-up.

He added: "Tom is obviously relieved that the settlement was reached, but is still sad, obviously."

In the agreement, Katie, 33, has sole custody of Suri but the Rock of Ages star actor will have substantial visitation rights.

Speaking about their split, Scientologist Tom and Katie - who registered at a Catholic church in New York this week - released a statement saying: "We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri's best interests.

"We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other's commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other's roles as parents."
