Potchefstroom – Villa Rosa actor Dawid Louw was slightly injured in a car accident on Thursday after playing the role of Texan in the production Vaselinetjie at the Clover Aardklop arts festival.
Louw was taken to hospital where he was treated for shock. He also suffered burns on his hands as his vehicle’s airbags deployed as well as a graze on his face.
X rays have shown that no bones were broken, but he has been ordered to wear a neck brace. His car has been written off.
Louw said that he was on his way back to the festival, near the sports grounds of North – West University when another car slammed into his Peugeot 206. "I suspect the guy was trying to take a gap and didn’t see me" he said.
