Whitney Houston's mom visits Bobbi Kristina Brown on the anniversary of the singer's death

Atlanta — Whitney Houston's mother visited the Atlanta hospital where the late singer's daughter is being treated after she was found unresponsive at her home on Wednesday.

Cissy Houston arrived at Emory University Hospital around 13:30 on the third anniversary of Whitney Houston's death.

Bobbi Kristina Brown has been hospitalised since 31 January, when she was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub in her home just north of Atlanta.

Whitney Houston was found face-down and unresponsive in about a foot of water in a bathtub in the Beverly Hilton hotel on 11 February 2012, just before the Grammys.

She later died, and authorities concluded she had accidentally drowned.

Investigators found a dozen prescription drug bottles in the suite and listed heart disease and cocaine use as contributors to her death.
