It’s official: Adele is ready to embrace the next chapter of her life as a self-loving singleton!
The singer, who split from her husband, Simon Konecki (45), last month, celebrated her 31st birthday yesterday and shared a candid message on Instagram about “learning to love yourself” and how she’s looking forward to a new future for herself.
“Thirty-one is going to be a big ol’ year and I’m going to spend it all on myself,” the singer wrote.
“For the first time in a decade I’m ready to feel the world around me and look up for once,” she wrote alongside a series of black and white photos showing what looked like a party she’d thrown.
Further on in the post she offered some self-help advice, writing, “Be kind to yourself people we’re only human. Go slow, put your phone down and laugh out loud at every opportunity,” she said.
“Learning to really truly love yourself is it, and I’ve only just realised that that’s more than enough. I’ll learn to love you lot eventually.”
She then joked about making a “drum n bass record to spite you” and ended it with a chipper “Chin up eh”
Adele and Simon, a charity entrepreneur, confirmed their separation last month after eight years together, the last three as a married couple, Daily Mail reports.
Highly private, they married in secret and were rarely spotted in public. Despite the split they’ve said they’re committed to raising their son Angelo together “lovingly”.
Adele seems to be loving being single again. In March the feisty Brit and her BFF, Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence (28), were spotted partying up a storm at a gay bar in New York.
