Amy Schumer beats Harry and Meghan to it with her son's name reveal

Cape Town - Amy Schumer has revealed the name she and her husband Chris Ficsher have given their newborn son.

"Gene Attell Fischer And his dad Chris," Amy wrote alongside a photo of Chris cradling the baby in his arms on Instagram.

Amy announced the birth of their "royal baby" on Monday night, hours after Buckingham Palace announced the birth of Prince Harry and Meghan's baby.

"10:55 pm last night. Our royal baby was born," she wrote alongside a photo of herself, Chris and baby Gene.

Cape Town - Amy Schumer and her husband Chris Fischer have welcomed their first child together. Hours after it was announced that UK royals, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed a baby boy on Tuesday, the stand-up comedian and actress announced the birth of her son alongside a photo of the new family-of-three.

While Meghan announced her pregnancy shortly before Amy and gave birth before the actress/stand-up comedian, baby Gene's name was shared with the world before baby Sussex's moniker - which is scheduled to be announced on Wednesday.
