Trust Amy Schumer to effortlessly bring us laughs during a rather trying time.
The new mom recently revealed on her podcast that she decided to officially rename her son.
The comedian and her husband, Chris Fischer, welcomed a baby boy in May 2019 – around the same time Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed Archie.
"22:55 last night. Our royal baby was born," the 38-year-old wrote on Instagram, along with a picture of Gene Attell Fischer – his middle name as a reference to Dave Attell, a fellow comedian and friend, according to People.
Now, her 11-month-old will go by Gene David Fischer, the I Feel Pretty star says – and for one particular and hilarious reason.
In her podcast, she explains: "So do you guys know that Gene, our baby’s name is officially changed? It’s now Gene David Fischer.
"It was Gene Attell Fischer, but we realised that we by accident named our son 'genital'."
On 5 May Gene David Fischer will turn one years old. In her latest update on her Instagram, Amy shared that he just recently watched his first-ever film, Fantastic Mr. Fox.
