Cape Town - It seems Angelina Jolie can add a new job to her CV!

The 44-year-old American actress will be joining Time magazine as a contributing editor, the publication's editor-in-chief and CEO Edward Felsenthal announced on Wednesday, 19 June, E Online reports.

The Maleficent actress will reportedly be focusing on displacement, conflict and human rights issues and will be published monthly.

Angelina’s first piece will appear today on World Refugee Day, ET Online reports.

"As we mark World Refugee Day on 20 June, it’s an illusion to think that any country can retreat behind its borders and simply hope the problem will go away," Angelina said in a statement.

"We need leadership and effective diplomacy.

"We need to focus on long-term peace based on justice, rights and accountability to enable refugees to return home. This isn’t a soft approach.

"It’s the harder course of action, but it’s the only one that will make a difference. The distance between us and the refugees of the past is shorter than we think.”

The Hollywood A-lister will also be returning to the big screen soon.

The mom of six will be reprising her role as Sleeping Beauty villain Maleficent in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Harpers Bazaar reveals.
