Cape Town - Anne Hathaway recently said that she’ll be packing on the pounds for an upcoming movie and had a message for all body-shamers – before they could even say anything.

The 35-year-old actress shared a video of herself working out on Thursday, letting her fans know that her weight gain journey is going well.

“I am gaining weight for a movie role and it’s going well,” the caption starts off.

Knowing that internet “fat-shamers” were going to have something so say about her weight, Anne made sure to warn them in advance. “To all the people who are going to fat-shame me in the upcoming months, it’s not me, it’s you.

“I wanted to set this to Queen’s Fat Bottomed Girls but copyright said no. Continued peace.”

In the accompanying time-lapse clip the mother-of-one is seen in the midst of a gruelling workout with her trainer.

The Devil Wears Prada star didn’t reveal which movie she’s gaining weight for but she has several projects lined up, Fox News reports.

“There’s no shame in gaining weight during pregnancy (or ever).

“There’s no shame if it takes longer than you think it will to lose the weight (if you want to lose it at all),” she wrote on Instagram in 2016, a few months after giving birth to son Jonathan.

“Bodies change. Bodies grow. Bodies shrink. It’s all love (don’t let anyone tell you otherwise).”
