Cape Town – Well known celebrity photographer, Marcus Hyde, who's worked with big names such as Kim Kardashian West, has been accused of sexual misconduct.
Model, Sunnaya, took to Instagram Stories on Sunday, sharing conversations between herself and Hyde. In her Stories – that Instagram removed and continues to remove, according to Sunnaya – she explained that the photographer solicited nude photographs from her in exchange for a professional photo shoot.
Diet Prada shared the DMs in which Hyde asked Sunnaya if she had any nude photos to which she replied she didn't.
"It's 2K then," he responded.
She asked, "But nude is free?"
To which he responded, "Ya."
"Gotta see if your [sic] worth it" was Hyde's response to Sunnaya's confusion.
Since the scandal broke, Hyde switched his Instagram account to private and has yet to comment on the accusations, according to E! News. Billboard reports that a few celebrities have weighed in though, standing by Sunnaya.
"Dear models/artists in LA/anywhere," Ariana Grande posted on Instagram, "Please do not shoot with photographers who make you uncomfortable or make you feel like you need to take your clothing off if you don't want to."
"If you want to, sick. But if you don't, please don't. If they tell you you have to pay more money if you're clothed that's fucked and I'm sorry that has happened to you."
Kim Kardashian West, who's worked with Hyde many times in the past, also commented, "I have been reading all of the messages and stories from women regarding inappropriate and inexcusable behavior of a photographer that I have worked with in the past. My own experiences have always been professional, and I am deeply shocked, saddened and disappointed to learn that other women have had very different experiences," she posted on Instagram.
"I stand in full support of every woman's right to not be harassed, asked or pressured to do anything they are not comfortable with."
