Cape Town – Ariana Grande is officially the most-followed woman on Instagram, surpassing Selena Gomez.
Ariana – who, at the time of publishing, had 146 334 518 followers – took the title over from Selena – who, at the time of publishing, had 146 288 002 followers – on Monday, Billboard reports.
The report further reveals that the 7 rings hitmaker gained more than 13 million new followers in the last four months on the social media platform.
But while Ariana is the top followed female, she is still outpaced by professional soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo - who dethroned Selena as the most-followed person on Instagram in 2018 and had 155 927 389 followers at the time of publishing.
