Cape Town – Ariana Grande had fans a little baffled when she revealed her Christmas tree – but now she is offering a simple explanation.
The No Tears Left To Cry hitmaker’s brother Frankie shared a glimpse of her non-traditional Christmas decorations this year, which follows a black theme and includes black stockings and candles as well as a tree that has been flipped over and mounted to the roof.
Uhm, what?
Alongside the snap of himself quite literally sitting underneath the tree Frankie kept with the theme writing, “Waiting for Santa”, using a font that was also upside-down.

Shortly thereafter Ariana shared a snap of her minimalist apartment lit from the glow of her Christmas tree lights.

After confusing all her followers and leaving them wondering why she opted for an upside-down tree, Ariana revealed the reason while on her way to perform on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
A video, obtained by TMZ, shows Ariana giggling at a paparazzo after he asks her about the tree.
She then simply answers: “Sometimes life be upside-down.”
