Cape Town - Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have finally reached a divorce agreement.

The actors, who were married for 10 years, have sorted out their differences and agreed on a divorce settlement to be finalised when Ben returns from rehab, E News reports.

Ben and Jen, who announced their split in June 2015 and filed divorce papers two years ago, have been co-parenting their three children, Violet (12), Seraphina (9) and Samuel (6), PEOPLE reports.

“They’re doing well, and are both committed to providing a supportive environment for their kids,” a source close to Ben said.

“They continue to remain cordial to one another.  There’s a lot of love and respect there.”

Another source added, “The kids love when they all spend time together”.

The Batman vs Superman star, who has a drinking problem, is in rehab after relapsing, according to sources.

The actor's alcohol use spiralled out of control after his relationship with Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus (38) fell apart, a source revealed to Fox News.

"Lindsay had been supporting Ben's sobriety and going to meetings with him. She had him in meditation and they were doing it together," the source close to the couple says.

"His recovery was something that was very important to both of them."

However, Lindsay knew that Ben needed more than what she could give him and decided to end the relationship.

"It was very hard for her to break up with Ben but she knew he wasn’t getting better and that it was time for her to step aside."

"She was trying to stay as close to him as possible so that he would stay on the right path but ultimately it just wasn’t possible. She knew she had to let him hit bottom.

“All she wanted was for him to be happy and healthy. It was a difficult choice but the right one.”
