Ben Affleck is ‘serious’ about sobriety as he plans 30-day stay in rehab

Cape Town – Ben Affleck is determined to get sober again after relapsing following his breakup with SNL producer, Lindsay Shookus.

The Batman actor was rushed to a treatment centre last week, by ex-wife Jennifer Garner, after having gone on a drinking binge over the weekend.

A source told E! News, Ben is “serious” about his sobriety and is planning on staying in rehab for at least 30 days.

“Ben is still in rehab and has not left. He's doing okay. He seems serious about living in for at least 30 days.”

The 46-year-old’s main priority remains his three kids – Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 6 – who he vowed to be the best father he can be to in a previous statement on Facebook.

“I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be. I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it.”

This comes after it was reported that Ben and Jen have reached a settlement in their divorce after a judge threatened to throw out their case.

The estranged couple are waiting until Ben finishes his stint in rehab before filing it in court.
