Cape Town – Bill Skarsgård, who plays Pennywise in It: Chapter Two, has just revealed a few new details about his personal life.
Speaking to Stephen Colbert, the 29-year-old said that he welcomed a baby girl in 2018 with actress and girlfriend, Alida Morberg – and his 11-month-old daughter isn’t scared of his menacing character. In fact, she could very well have a nursery filled with Pennywise toys.
"I’ve gotten a bunch of fun merch and stuff throughout the years, so her little baby room is just filled with all these Pennywise teddy bears," the Swedish actor said.
To step into the iconic clown shoes, Bill says he drew inspiration from watching animal documentaries, while his brother Gustaf – one of his 6 Skarsgård siblings – helped him develop that wicked smile.

On Good Morning America, Bill revealed that when he does get into character though, he often tries not to stay in character because it would be too exhausting. But he did mention he’d sometimes call home, in full Pennywise get-up.
Saying he’d often be in costume for 14 hours at a time, he said, "I FaceTimed a lot with my girlfriend, and, at the time, my two-week-old daughter."
"She didn’t know," he laughed it off.
On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the host said of Bill’s daughter’s introduction to the terrifying clown, "That’s nice. You’re softening her up..."
"Never let her see this movie," he joked.
