Cape Town - Brad Pitt has starred in some iconic films but there’s one role he turned down that’s been haunting him.
The 56-year-old, who recently left the Baftas crowd in stitches with his hilarious acceptance speech, wishes he’d taken up the lead role in the hit movie The Matrix, the Mirror reported.
In an interview with OK! Magazine, the star admitted he regrets turning down the role of Thomas Anderson, also known as Neo, which was given to Keanu Reeves.
"I did pass on The Matrix. I took the red pill!" Brad admitted.
The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor went on to say that if he’d accepted the role, his career would’ve turned out differently.
The dad of six recently won a Bafta for best supporting actor and asked actress Margot Robbie to accept the award on his behalf.
He missed the ceremony to reportedly mend his relationship with his estranged son, Maddox, a source told The Sun.
The insider went on to reveal that the 18-year-old "wanted to give Brad the chance to talk" and rectify things.
"Being a father is the most important thing in his life and he’d do anything to repair their relationship," added the insider.
