Cape Town - Actors Brad Pitt (54) and Angelina Jolie (43) were apparently just days from finalising their divorce and custody agreement in January when she backtracked.

Angie “felt Brad was pushing too hard to resolve the situation to his benefit”, according to InTouch magazine.

“They’d been diligently going along privately and amicably, trying to keep the focus on the family,” an insider told the magazine.

But when Angie felt the Allied star was pushing things in a direction that would favour him, she “reversed course”.

“This means their custody battle can drag on for another year,” the source adds.

The couple first split in September 2016 and have been hard at work to reach an agreement. But the divorce and custody proceedings have stretched on longer than most cases – understandable when there are six kids involved.

Since then the children have spent most of their time with their mom. And my, how they’ve grown!

HERE’S WHAT THE BRANGIE BUNCH LOOK LIKE NOW:

Maddox (16)

The eldest of the siblings aspires to work in the film industry, The Sun reports.

The teen worked behind the scenes as a trainee on 2015’s By the Sea, which his parents starred in and his mom directed.

He was also an executive producer on Angie’s latest directorial effort, First They Killed My Father (2017), which is set in Cambodia where Maddox was born.

Pax (14)

Of all the Jolie-Pitt kids, Pax, who was adopted from Vietnam in 2007, has reportedly struggled to adapt to life under the spotlight. He often avoids the paparazzi.

Zahara (13)

Just like her eldest brother, Zahara has helped out on her mom’s movies – she voiced one of the characters in Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016), in which Angelina plays Tigress.

Shiloh (11)

Shiloh has apparently asked her parents to call her John as she identifies as male, The Sun reports. In 2010 Angie spoke to Vanity Fair, saying Shiloh wants to be a boy and sees herself as “one of the brothers”.

Knox and Vivienne (9)

Vivienne’s middle name, Marcheline, is a tribute to Angie’s mother, who died of ovarian cancer in 2007, while Knox is named after Brad’s grandfather. Knox’s second name, Leon, comes from Angie’s great-great grandfather.

Vivienne played Princess Aurora as a five-year-old in Maleficent (2014) as she was the only child who wasn’t scared of Angie in her horned costume.
