Brooklyn Beckham’s new ink has fans scratching their heads.
The handsome teen unveiled his new tattoo on Instagram, sporting the line, ‘Made in England’ on the side of his left foot.
But fans have puzzled as it supposedly proves that the eldest of the Beckham brood was, in fact, not born in the New York borough he was named for.
“Brooklyn Beckham has got a 'made in England' tattoo… I thought he was called Brooklyn because he was conceived there?” one Twitter user wrote.
Another joked Brooklyn might be the one mistaken with his place of conception.
It’s been widely thought that Brooklyn was David and Victoria Beckham’s 18-year-old son’s place of origin – hence the name.
The confusion might have stemmed from Posh Spice’s 2001 biography, Learning To Fly, in which she wrote: “I had always liked the name Brooke and then we suddenly thought about Brooklyn. I’d always like it as a place – it’s very multi-cultural, very grounded.
“And it was only afterward that I realised
how appropriate it was because it was in New York that I found out I was pregnant and where David came after the World Cup.”But it seems the budding photographer, who already has three tattoos, has decided to set the record straight permanently.
With the three-word sentence forever on his foot, he’s sure to boot any confusion around where he was ‘made’.
