Camila Cabello has the last laugh addressing fans' comments about her PDA with Shawn Mendes

Cape Town – Camila Cabello is well aware of everyone's saying about her very public displays of affection with Shawn Mendes.

The 22-year-old started dating the If I Can't Have You singer not long after they released their hit Señorita. They've been spotted together – making out mostly – ever since.

On BBC Radio 1's Breakfast with Greg James though, Camila addressed fans, and their feelings about her PDA after a fan called in and said, "Public displays of affection on Instagram are too much."

Camila responded, "Ouch, I feel personally targeted. I feel personally attacked.

"Yeah, PDA is terrible. I mean, kissing in public? I don't even…" she joked.

Camila said when you're in the spotlight, and the media watches your every move, you "get kind of desensitised".

"You're like, 'Well, might as well make out on Instagram.' Might as well!" she joked.

She's referring to a video Shawn posted recently poking fun at people who said the couple "kiss like fish".

In the clip, the two go in for the kiss in what looks like it will be another hot and heavy display, but after seeing her tongue across his face – his mouth on her cheek – we weren't sure if we witnessed the couple kiss or devour one another.

Either way, it looks like Camila and Shawn are winning – or at least having the last laugh.
