South African-born Victoria’s Secret model Candice Swanepoel gave birth to her second baby just two weeks ago and already the internet trolls have tried to shame her.

The 29-year-old was having a day out at the beach a few weeks after giving birth to son Ariel. Daily Mail shared exclusive pictures of the now mom of two in a bikini on a Brazilian beach.

According to the accompanying article her eldest son, Anaca, and her parents were with her.

Apparently some on the internet had criticised her for still having a (very little) bit of a belly, so Candice hit back with two pictures on Instagram which she captioned:

“This is me 12 days after having my son. If you have something bad to say about it . . . check yourself. Society can be so cruel to one another. Beauty standards are sometimes impossible for women these days.

“I’m not ashamed to show my post-partum tummy. I am proud actually . . . I carried my son for 9 months in there. I think I’ve earned the right to have a little tummy.”

She goes on to write, “Is it because I’m a model? Well, we’re normal people too so let me enjoy the beach in peace please.”

She then posted a second pic of her in a bikini while she was still pregnant and wrote, “I don’t have to hide my stomach just because people have unrealistic standards of woman. We create life . . . what can you do? Ladies we’re all in this together be kind to each other. Xc”

Shortly after Ariel’s birth Candice also shared an adorable picture of her two boys.

“These are the most precious gifts life has given me. I’m a lucky woman to be their mommy.”

Anaca is 20 months old. Both boys’ father is Candice’s Brazilian fiancé, Hermann Nicoli (36), also a model.
