Cardi B is addressing the US government once more, this time over coronavirus concerns.

The 27-year-old, who recently spoke about becoming a politician, shared a video on Instagram on Wednesday saying "a bitch is scared".

"I'm a little scared," the I Like It rapper commented. "Shit got me panicking, and a lot of you motherfuckers think it's a joke, kekekekeke, like I was thinking, right, but that shit right there, just because you think you're immune to it, guess what, your pocket aint, bitch."

She then went on to explain to fans why their Fashion Nova packages may not have arrived, singing the word "coronavirus".

In a second post, she spoke about moving as the coronavirus is rapidly spreading. "Government, government, government, I know shit getting real," she said, "once the stock markets start getting low, I know shit getting real."

The Hustlers star said its time the government starts letting everyone know how real the threat is so people can start better preparing themselves.

Cardi B isn't the first celebrity to share her concerns about the virus. Reese Witherspoon took to social media last week talking about her fears, this week Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson were the first A-listers to announce they've been diagnosed with the Covid-19 virus.

With more than 118 000 cases reported in 114 countries and 4 291 deaths, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has officially declared the coronavirus a pandemic. To date, 17 people have been diagnosed in South Africa
