Cassie gives birth to a baby girl

Cape Town – Cassie and husband, Alex Fine, have just welcomed the newest member to their family.

Weighing 8 lbs. and 4 oz (around 3.7 kg), a source close to the couple told TMZ Frankie Fine was born on Friday at an L.A. County Hospital.

Cassie and Alex announced they were expecting in June before getting engaged and marrying in September.

Cassie said, "Can’t wait to meet our baby girl,” while Alex posted a letter to his daughter.

"I will be the first man in your life and will show you the greatest love and affection now and forever," he said. "I never thought my heart could grow bigger after meeting your mother... then I found out we were having you and I instantly felt a love that is so indescribable."
