Fans rallied behind Chrissy Teigen over the weekend when she tweeted that it was a "huge bummer" to hear that fellow cookbook author, Alison Roman, wasn't her biggest fan.
In an interview with The New Consumer, the columnist criticised Chrissy's cooking empire and business model, saying it "horrifies" her. "Like, what Chrissy Teigen has done is so crazy to me," she said. "She had a successful cookbook. And then it was like: Boom, line at Target. Boom, now she has an Instagram page that has over a million followers where it's just, like, people running a content farm for her. That horrifies me and it's not something that I ever want to do. I don't aspire to that. But like, who's laughing now? Because she's making a ton of fucking money."
Chrissy tweeted: "I don't think I've ever been so bummed out by the words of a fellow food-lover. I just had no idea I was perceived that way, by her especially. And Marie [Kondo], too. Marie is awesome."
She added that Cravings wasn't farmed content – she put a lot of work into building her website and cookbook because she wanted "something John didn't buy". "I didn't "sell out" by making my dreams come true," she said.
Alison later went on Twitter to apologise to the former model turned author, writing: "I'm genuinely sorry I caused you pain with what I said. I shouldn't have used you/your business (or Marie's!) as an example to show what I wanted for my own career – it was flippant, careless and I'm so sorry."

Though many supported Chrissy in her latest twar, others brought up old tweets in which Chrissy appeared to have been problematic, reports E! News. After a weekend of back-and-forth, she decided to make her account private and "take a little break", revealing a few harsh things users were saying about her and her kids.
"I really hate what this drama has caused this week. Calling my kids Petri dish babies or making up flight manifests with my name on them to "Epstein island", to justify someone else's disdain with me seems gross to me so I'm gonna take a little break," she wrote.
