Daniel Radcliffe helps moped mugging victim

Cape Town – Daniel Radcliffe lent a helping hand to a London tourist after he was mugged by thieves on a moped.

According to the Evening Standard, the Harry Potter actor rushed to the aid of a man who was slashed in the face and robbed of his Louis Vuitton bag in west London last week.

The man was walking off Chelsea's fashionable King's Road when two men on a moped targeted him.

David Videcette, a former policeman who was driving in the area at the time, saw the men on the moped and tried to push them off the road when he saw them pull a knife out.

Upon returning to the scene Videcette ES he noticed Radcliffe consoling the victim, he said: “It was a bit of the surreal moment, I said ‘you’re Daniel Radcliffe’ and he replied ‘I am’.

A spokesperson confirmed that Radcliffe was present when the incident occurred but refused to comment further.

A spokesperson for the Met police released a statement saying that officers from Kensington and Chelsea are investigating the robbery and that no arrests have been made.
