Cape Town - Could Friends be revived to serve the burgeoning adult entertainment market?

The American sitcom, which followed the lives of six friends living in the same apartment block in New York, ran from 1994 to 2004 and had audiences in stitches as Rachel, Ross, Joey, Monica, Chandler and Phoebe went through life’s challenges together with more than a little quirkiness and mischief.

Now, 14 years later, adult entertainment website YouPorn has made David (52) an offer to play the goofy, love-struck Ross (his character in the TV series) in a porn spoof of the show, offering him $1m (R14m) to play the role, Mirror reports.

In a letter published on Meeaw website, YouPorn explained why they thought bringing Ross back, in a more X-rated way, would be a good idea.

The site first mentioned the American Crime Story actor’s funny video re-enactment of his English doppelganger who was caught stealing from a supermarket in Blackpool in October, CNN reports.

SEE IT HERE:

“We at YouPorn, like so many others, miss that time you awkwardly proved to Rachel and Joey that you were ‘fine’. Or that time you tried to teach Rachel and Phoebe about the state of total awareness . . . Unagi!” the letter continued.

“To make everyone’s dreams come true, we want to bring those talents back to the screen and are offering you a $1m contract to star in your very own Friends porn parody.”

The YouPorn team then hilariously admitted that while they know starring in the movie wouldn’t be like being on the silver screen, they believe it would be the perfect “pivot” for his career.

They ended off the letter by saying" “We’re looking forward to hearing from you regarding our offer, and sincerely hope we can work together on this soon. All the best, The YouPorn team.”

There’s been no word as to whether David will accept the somewhat unusual offer or not.
