Cape Town - It’s been a year since Demi Lovato suffered a drug overdose – and now, 12 months on, the singer is doing better than ever.
The Skyscraper hitmaker, who spent 60 days in rehab after her hospitalisation for a heroin overdose, has done away with the negative influences in her life, a source told E! News.
Another insider who spoke to PEOPLE revealed Demi now follows "a very set routine".
"She works out at Unbreakable [Performance] with a trainer several times a week," the insider said. "She goes to therapy. She eats healthy and takes great care of herself."
The 26-year-old star has also been writing music and recording.
"She has a lot to say and can’t wait to share it. She’s feeling the best she’s ever felt and is very grateful."
Over the past few months, Demi has shown an unwavering spirit to overcome her addiction. She recently had the word "me" tattooed on her left ring finger.
Sharing the picture with her 73 million followers, she captioned the post: "Me first".
