Cape Town – Demi Lovato is still in hospital recovering from a reported overdose but is struggling with intense side effects.
It has been a week since paramedics responded to a call at Demi’s home and rushed her to the hospital after an apparent drug overdose – she was give Narcan, a medication used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, by her friends.

According to E! News, Demi has been recovering at Cedars Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, surrounded by her family and ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, but is seriously ill.
The 25-year-old is struggling with extreme nausea and high fever, but medical experts expect her to make a full recovery.
This comes after Demi’s friends, including one of her backup dancers, spoke out in the singer’s defense.
Dani Vitale shared a statement on Instagram after fans blamed her for being a bad influence and friend to Demi, CNN reported.
“I have not said anything about this situation until now because her recovery has been of the most importance.
“I was not with Demi when the incident happened, but I am with her now, and will continue to be because she means the world to me just as she does to all of you,” Dani wrote.
