Cape Town - The couple – who got engaged in July after only a few months of dating – are set to tie the knot very soon.

Here’s what we know so far:

The lavish affair will take place in India

The couple arrived in Delhi a week ago and started some of the many pre-wedding rituals, with Priyanka posting a cute snap of herself with the former DNCE member, captioned “Welcome home baby”.

They’ll have two wedding celebrations

Nick being Christian and Priyanka being of the Hindu faith, they’ll have a traditional Indian wedding plus a Western wedding to accommodate both cultures.

“It’s super-important to Priyanka to have an Indian ceremony that honours her heritage and culture, just as it’s important to also have a Western ceremony that honours Nick’s Christian upbringing,” a source told People.

The traditional ceremonies have started

On Wednesday, 28 November, they took part in the puja ceremony, which, according to Britannica, is the ceremonial worship of a divine entity with dance, offerings, invocations, prayers and songs.

Today Priyanka takes part in the mehndi ceremony which involves designs being created on the bride’s hands and feet using henna paste. It’s rumoured the couple will have their white wedding on 3 December, Cosmopolitan reports.

Nick and Priyanka already have their marriage licence

The duo popped into a Beverly Hills court in early November to complete paperwork and obtain their marriage licence, The Blast reports.

They want to start a family soon

The Jealous singer can’t wait to start a family with his 36-year-old fiancée. In October a source told Us Weekly that Nick and Priyanka have amazing chemistry and can’t wait to have a bundle of joy of their own, but are willing to wait until after they’re married.

“They keep talking about starting a family together,” the insider said.
